The Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAA) released a report on the operation of flights on time (OTP) as well as delayed and cancelled flights across Viet Nam in the first half of the year.
Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific and Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), reported about 2,530 delayed and 21 cancelled flights in October.
The number of delayed or cancelled flights operated by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and budget carriers Vietjet and Jetstar Pacific in the first eight months of the year was lower than the world average of 25 per cent.
Four domestic carriers – Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Jetstar Pacific and the Viet Nam Air Services Company (VASCO) reported 26,578 delayed and cancelled flights, or 15 per cent of their total flights, in the first seven months of 2018.
In the first six months of 2018, there were 150,010 flights operated by domestic carriers including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Jetstar Pacific and Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco), a year-on-year increase of nine per cent.
